Tek 485 Power Supply Problem

I have had this scope for years, and a few weeks ago I turned it on to
use it and it craped out. I was out of the corner of my eye the trace go
out on the scope. It was ticking.
I just got the cd with the manual so I could troubleshoot it without
"blinders on".
Are there any know "common" problems with this scope?

Thanks
Frank

Check for shorted tantalum capacitors on the power supply (bottom) PCB.
An ohmmeter with a decent low ohms range should work for this.

Read the circuit description so you understand how this supply works;it's
one of the most complex of any TEK scope. (series-resonant switching PS)
