I was wondering what kind of direction, tools, data I need to give to the engineers and technicians in my group. How do I write good specs for them?

Better to ask your group what they expect / need from you.

I thought you were responsible for debugging? Now you write the specs for them? What exactly is your position and title?

The wonderful thing about engineers and other technical people is that they will respect you for being a great leader (even a supreme leader) if you are able to ignore practical details and are also able to be unfettered by the bounds of knowledge and practical experience.

    I recommend you read this.

Omega, from what I have seen so far, you are very new to electronics.
You will not be able to move up the 'ladder' to management if you cannot step foot on the very first ladder rung.
If you have a group ask them. If you don't have a group, then don't ask us.

I'd say I know electronics. It's applying it that I have problems.

I'd like to be like Man-At-Arms in the He-man cartoon, Tony Stark (aka. Ironman), Batman with his utility belt and gadgets.

I don't feel comfortable revealing my pedigree. Now, what is a white paper?

You are revealing your "pedigree", as well as your poor attitude.

You also appear to be wasting our users' time. I suggest you adjust your attitude if you hope to continue here at Electronics Point.
