I read here frequently and post occasionally and really value the info
gleaned from this site. I have a questions about T-105's. My son is getting
ready to purchase a travel trailer with a built in 4.5Kw generator. It comes
standard with 2 12v generic deep cycles. I recommended that he request two
T-105's instead as an up grade. Then I had a thought (watch out!)....What
about starting the generator??? I am sure that it will work, but is going to
damage the T-105's??? The starter is small on these little gensets but I was
wondering what you folks think.

The amperage draw for starting the generator is well within the current-draw
limits of the T-105s. But if you were trying to start a 400 HP diesel
engine with them, I'd say it's a bad idea.
