Hi

I would like to have an alarm installed in a home that currently has no
system. The house is a two level and I really don't want to deal with a
wireless system.
What are the better home systems out there? I plan on having it installed.

Thanks.

Hello
If you are planning on having it installed then I would say your choice in dealer is the most important part. Pick one that has the experience to hardwire a two story house correctly. This style home presents challenges to some installers but normally can be done without to much difficulty. I have been in this industry for about 30 years and although I have not seen the layout of the house would lean toward a hybrid system of hardwiring the lower level with wireless on the second level. I know wireless got a bad reputation at first it has come a long way and if you stick with quality manufacturers parts you should be OK ( DMP, ITI, Innovonics ).
Good Luck

Pick your installer first. If you do that right, your question is moot.

AT&T 8300

Don't laugh...I still download 3-4 of those each month. Mostly because
of lithium cells & backup batteries dying.

I would have sworn it was Monkey. I could be wrong. It's easy to
confuse a quality system like the 8300 with a great product like
MyAlarm.

I seen a few SMS text dialers out there now.
