    Greetings
I know I am, probably, reinventing the wheel but I am trying to build
a switching power supply. To some extend this is both an educational
venture and a practical project for me. I help me with me venture, I
am using the parts from a older model.

What I need are a schematic drawing, or block diagram, for a more
current model. and some information... I know that a switching power
supply requires a kicker oscillator and power supply to activate this
oscillator. I have seem a schematic a year or so ago but have
forgotten some key pieces of information..

First: What kind of power supply is used to power the kicker? and the
over all circuit untill the power supply can supply that power.
