Hello there, hope for some contacts for a repair with this post.

does anybody with experiance know who (comapny or individual) could solder a connector (The LCD interface) on to an Apple Macbook Pro motherboard.

The rest of the board is fine, this connector has broken, someone did attempt the Job and it looked good but unfortunately it didnt work.
it needs cleaning off and a new interface soldered on and tested?

the interface has about 40 pins and is about 1/4 an inch long - into this plugs in a cable to the LCD screen. its an LED lit screen.

    many thanks

I'm other side of the pond, so that might complicated things, but I can do this...

BUT! Since it's been damaged already and ill repaired I have to caution that there might be unseen damage to the PC board that will either complicate or might even make fixing now nearly impossible... This is one of those no guarantee type of repairs...

Thanks for the advive - there may well be, but signs are, (as the laptop works) that it's worth
a stab! Apreciate your answer - thanks.

I wonder if you might pop over to the UK to have a look :))

    all the best,
