There is a 'snap' grid for annotation and spice directives.

Can we have a similar one for component designators and values?

If we're suggesting stuff, how about:

"Pan to center cursor" that with one hot key repositions the window to put
the point of the cursor in the middle.

    Also how about:

My work processor has an autocorrect feature that replaces misspelled
words with corrected ones. An autocorrect for schematics would be far
    more useful.
  3. DNA,
LTspice schematics are drawn a grid. The finest one is for
    component attributes(reference designator, values, etc.)
The coarsest ones are for wire and pin connections(16 fold

The only grid you can adjust is when drawing lines, rectangles,
circles, and arcs on a schematic. By default it snaps to the
same grid as for electrical connections, but if you hold down
the control key, it snaps to the finest grid available.

Don't forget you can pan by dragging the "paper" about by
dragging the mouse on a blank piece of schematic background.

    [.. I suggested ..]
The "pan to center" would be handy when placing a component right at the
    edge of the current view.

BTW: On the cursor problem I was having under wine, I think I've tracked
it down to the ATI display driver. As soon as I've backed up all the
important stuff on my home machine, I expect to be making a post in the
..cad news group on the subject. I plan on switching display boards and

    Thanks for the reply.

Might I be so bold as to suggest that the finest grid you mention is 'too
fine'. I'm a bit of a pedant and like my diagrams to look pretty so that
text lines up. It's hard to acheive that with the present fine grid.

While we're at it can we use the 'home' key for pan to center of cursor and
'page up' to zoom in and 'page down' to zoom out.

I've changed my default rotate to 'space' and mirror to 'x'.

    Feel free to ignore me.

    Thanks again
