It seems like the 3.2 ish gigabit range TIAs have gone extinct in the wild... Maxim lists several on their website, but they've all been discontinued. As a matter of fact, I can't find a single one still in production anywhere. I tried looking for operational amplifiers that would get the job done in a homemade TIA, but none of their units are useful to me. Op amps only give units in Hz, with no information about the data rate. I'm stuck. Can anyone recommend an Op Amp that can handle at least a 2 gigabit speed optical signal? The receiver is an avalanche photodiode.
