    "for" a stepper motor?

There is nothing special about a power supply for a stepper motor. In fact, it doesn't need to be especially noise free or well regulated.

The important thing is that it can supply sufficient current at the required voltage (and you haven't indicated what these are).

Beware that stepper motors may have more than one coil energised at once. If you know for certain if your design does or does not then you can make some sensible decisions.
