Trying to help a friend problem solve his Startright 1250 which won't power on. After having a look inside I could see a floating wire (circled in red), the wire connects to the 0 terminal on the left handside (circled in blue) which comes from the transformer. I'm hoping someone can help in working out where this wire should plug into, as I'm assuming this is why it won't power on. Or of course we are completely wrong and it needs to be looked at by a professional?

Thanks in advance

Darren

Is that a TA1250 table saw?
The wiring diagram is on page 6 of this manual. It doesn't help me for a remote diagnosis, but maybe you can identify the respective wires?
From the length and position of the loose end of wire I think it should go into terminal 1, 3 or 5 of the block, probably 3 or 5 as 1 looks already very crammed.

Thanks Harrald

yes it is that table saw

We were thinking it should also go into 3 or 5 as 1 has two wires in it already one of which comes from 220v of the terminal blocks on the left.

I'll go and see the machine again now you have found us the wiring diagram and see if we can get some more info to help.

Thanks

Hey Harald

I went to look at the saw again today to make note of all the wiring. My friend had been with it until late last night and with the aid of the wiring schematic you found he discovered the floating wire connected to '3' and the saw is back to working as usual today

Thanks for your help

Darren
