Networking with an engineer to start an electronics project

    Hi Everyone,

I am a website programmer with an idea for an electronics device and would love to work with an electronics engineer to develop it. Without giving away too much, my idea is an electronic device that must accept data from a wi-fi modem/router so I'm guessing I need an engineer with knowledge of Wifi technology & circuit board development
Because my background is web programming, I wonder ...
    1) Is there an online forum for networking with engineers that might be interested in a startup
    2) How should I present the concept and provide clear and concise information to best assist the engineer is understanding my concept.
    3) Like in programming where we have system development methodologies like Prince II, is there a specific format that engineers prefer project information to be presented in and if so, where can I find info on it?

    Any info greatly appreciated

    Cheers Bryan

How large is this project?? How much time would an engineer need to spend in helping you develop this project??

Preferably a formal report outlineing the problem, the solution and all other specifics.
