What are the standard methods used industrially or in general to prevent over discharge of Li-po 3.7V batteries?

Do you want just an indicator of the state of charge or an actual FET circuit to remove the battery.

Ebay have them. Depending on size, anywhere from $1.50 upwards. Look for battery protection module.

@*steve* I have searched Lipo protection circuit. I am using Lipo battery with model number 754060. It says that protection is already in it which will protect it from over discharge but I am not getting what is inside that. What ICs are being used?
