    Greetings,

I am a new member, just registered. I am looking for advice concerning oil-filled, motor starting capacitors that may be used to filter low frequencies. I have some speakers that have separate low freq and hi freq drivers. I have used oil-filled caps to prevent low freqs ( below 1200hz ) from getting to my hi freq drivers. I am building more speakers. I can't remember the formula to calculate the mf and voltage values of the caps. I seem to remember 13mf. Does that sound right? Can anyone help?

    Thanks,

    Pat
