Source for telephone dialers?

Something I thought would be easy to source seems
to be a bit elusive. Anyone know where I can obtain
a (ideally Austel approved - probably dialler unit?

I just want a black box which interfaces to the telephone
line on one side and to a micro on the other and will
use DTMF to dial a number.

Try a modem,

I think some types allow the AT command set to dial, then swicth to the
handset.
must be tons of low speed modem's available.

BTW: I think some newer one's even you to monitor calling number ID

Silicon Chip had something that could be added to a burglar alarm earlier
this year I think. Not sure of the details.
