I'm looking for an inexpensive source for White Super Bright LEDs. What I
find on the web are complete flashlights. Anybody know a source for just the
LEDs?

Thanks in advance.

The definitive source for white LEDs for such things as flashlights is
Nichia, www.nichia.com. You can order the NSPW500BS white LEDs
directly from them, for about 2 dollars each in hundred quantity.
These are top grade LEDs, that will give excellent quality light.
There are other places that sell LEDs, but in my experience these are
not top quality, and a person can expect to get less than top
performance.

Check Craig's awesome website for everything you wanted to know about
LEDs but were afraid to ask. Go to his links for a list of sellers.
It's http://ledmuseum.home.att.net.
Thanks in advance.

Don't be ripped off by the big book dealers. Go to the URL
that will give you a choice and save you money(up to half).

Luxeon is a product of LumiLeds, which is a joint venture between
Agilent and Philips Lighting. Agilent still sells their own line of
LEDs.

Go to http://ledmuseum.home.att.net for a lot more info on
manufacturers of all kinds of LEDs. There are many other makers,
however I can vouch for both Nichia and Luxeon since I've used them
both and they're great.

Thanks guys. Those are great sources. I haven't decided which vendor I will
use yet. But It will almost assuredly be from one of your suggestions or off
a link from one of those sites. I'm building a set of "Solar Lights" for my
deck and walk. Next I have to find good Solar Cells and Enclosures. Again,
Great info!! Thanks!!
