I've got an old Sony Trinitron 24", model KVX2151A. It has always
worked, till a few days ago. Now, when it's connected with an EURO AV
cable, i can hear sound only for a few seconds, right after the TV
it's turned on. The image is ok, the signal is received clearly. Even
the sound, for the first 3-5 seconds, it's very clear. But after this
time it disappear completely: even if i plug in phones doesn't work,
nor any kind of external speaker connected to the "OUT" plugs. The
only way to hear it again is to completely power off the TV (standby
isn't enough) and power on again.
This only with the EURO AV signal. If i plug my PS2, or my DVD player,
in one of the scart input, the sound works perfectly, clear and loud,
it doesn't disappear.
Why this happens? It's a cable-plug problem, or is a more deep,
electronic bug/failure?

This TV has always shown another issue: when the signal isn't strong
enough, even when the image, altough dirty and disturbed, can be seen,
the sound goes away. Switching to another channel on a frequency
strong or undisturbed, the sound comes back. Switching back to the
channel disturbed, the sound can be heared for a minute or so, before
going away again. But i always thinked this as a built in
characteristic. Now i have some doubt about this...
