Hi guys,
I am new to the forum so hope you can help. Basically I have a Sony TA 313 Amp that I picked up on ebay. It was listed as not working "distortion from all sources". I have tinkered with tapedecks before and am proficient at hand soldering but am not sure where would be the best place to start checking? I'm hoping to get it on monday
It uses the following transistors 6x 2sc1362; 1x2sc1364; 1x 2sc632a. as per service manual. I wasn't sure if given that its distorting some of these could have failed? I had a similar thing with a pioneer sx434 I got repaired turned out to be some bad transistors. I'm also going to check the boards for cold joints and the caps and see if any have blown etc.
I am in my early 20s and have just got into electronics as a hobby so have little experience.
Any help or input you can offer to a noob would be greatly appreciated.
