Hi im new here and i hope some one could help me with my problem

im working on a school project, we have a raspberry pi with a motion sensor that has a little script that plays a sounds on motion. The problem is that we want to make it stand alone. So we can charge the system en place it annywere we want. We want to try it with a car battery but we dont know how to transform the power to power the speakers and raspberry pi. Because im a noobie at electronics im not sure what to do.

My main qeustion is if the car battery is a good solution, and how we transform the power to connect it to our raspberry and speakers. maby you guys know a better way to power both the speakers and the raspberry pi for at leas 8 hours. We dont got a big budget so it would be cool if its cheap aswell.

I hope some one can help me.

Greetings Hylke T
