    Hi all,

I'm having difficulties designing a circuit to control 24 single coil latching solenoid valves with a controller with 12 digital outputs. The valves require a pulse across its two pins of 5V at 110 mA to energize and a pulse of reverse polarity to deenergize. The problem I have is getting a circuit with a minimal number of components. Right now I'm thinking of using the half of the SN754410 for each solenoid and then using 2 4:16 decoder and 4 hex inverters to control the enables and running the polarity inputs in parallel. This results in 18 chips not including connectors, too many parts I think, and not ideal in terms of footprint or cost.

Any help is very much appreciated, thanks.
