Solder paste for SMD components

Could someone please recommend a solder paste I could use on SMD
components without damaging them? I got some non-lead Weller stuff from a
hardware store for just in case, but, upon a more careful reading of the
package, it says "for non-electric soldering".
I don't really have a reflow oven either, will be messing around with a
toaster oven ;-)
Anyways, while we are at it, is there an online resource or a manual I can
read about SMT soldering or a good book someone can recommend?
Thanks!

Kester makes solder past in a syringe (eg. NC-840). It has a shelf life and
is best kept refrigerated.

SMT magazine is geared more for industrial readers, but you can get a free
subscription (www.smtmag.com) and it often has useful info for smaller
processes. There are lots of available articles on SMT repair and I'm sure
you can find many on line.
