Hi everyone. I have been a licensed electrician for 22 years and i learned electronics way back in the day. today i am trying to figure out what kind of coil i need for a small project i am working on. i need an electromagnet that is max 10 mm wide, 10 mm long, and 3 mm high that works on 12 or 24v. it does not need to be too strong but it needs to be able to pull in a few grams 1/4 inch or so with a spring return. if anyone can help me pick something out of the digikey catalog i would greatly appreciate it. as far as inductance goes i have no idea.
