Single shot pulse triggered from control voltage

HI all

What circuit do I need if i wish to trigger a single shot pulse from a control voltage?

I would like it so that I could select, via a pot, that the pulse is triggered from anywhere between -5v and +5v if this is possible?

The purpose being so I can trigger envelope generators on my synthesiser at any given point of an incoming control voltage

A comparator with adjustable threshold creates the trigger signal.
A monostable multivibrator creates a single pulse from the comparator's output.
