No, I'm not going to evolve this into anything. They've made that
illegal. Besides, the best ramp for differential linearity is not one
from a DAC and it is the stability of the voltage per time not its
precision that really matters.

If you are willing spend enough on parts, you can get some very steady
ramps. You only need to accurately detect when it hits the end of its
travel so you can send it the other way. BTW: A wave with near equal
slopes works better that one that snaps back down.
