I have not worked through the circuit but I do not think it right.

Also no gate output should be shorted to ground.

There are two questions that must be answered:

- 1. Does Vgs of the MOSFET need to be high or low to turn on the detector?

- 2. Which side of the bi-stable latch goes high or low when the button is pressed?

When you can answer those questions, make that connection.

And why would you connect the output of a device directly to ground?
