Hi, I'm building the bptx5 beer pong table that was shown all over the internet for a while. I put the whole board together just to find out that there is a short somewhere. my 5 volt rail and ground rail were shorted out. I then removed the 5v regulator and a few other parts. I now have the same problem however its acting like a diode now. theres 100 ohms of resistance from the 5v rail to the ground rail and 10k ohms the other direction. can anyone tell me what might cause this? I bought the kit and have everything placed correctly according to the silk screen. so the obvious diode connecting the two is not the problem. thanks for taking the time to answer
    Justin.

    Hi Bogart123,
I had a look on the net as I have never heard of it before. Very interesting looking table.
If the pcb has silk screen and reference designators, I would double check the polarity of the ploarized components.
It is an easy mistake to do if concentration lapses.

100 ohms and 10k sounds ok.
