Shattered glass on panel

I had ordered a GEPV-65 solar panel and when it arrived it was shattered,
upon closer inspection, you can see a foot print in the middle of the box
and you can also see where it had been droped on the corner.
When I say shattered I mean all the glass.

They are sending me a new one but.....

It seems I may be able to keep the broken one (to dispose of ) as they put
it...

I hooked a multi meter up to it tonight and used a flashlight to go over the
whole panel. It seems that it still works ok minus the loss from the glass
edges (it puts out more voltage when the light hits it at an angle now but
it still works.

My question is... what can I do to seal the glass so that I can use this
panel (I would hate to toss it)
I thought of adding another sheet of glass over the broken but I think it
would condensate and moisture would get inside the panel.
I can not think of anything that I can spray on it that would stick to
glass and not break down under UV.
Any ideas?
Thanks

The only thing I can think of that might work would be to cover the
entire thing with some kind of clear resin to seal it from the weather.
You might try the kind of stuff they sell for windshield repair, though
you'll probably need more than the little kits supply.

Put the whole thing in a glass (or plastic) fronted sealed box.
Downside, more heat, more reflection. Upside, weather-sealing that's got
a chance. Add dessicant if the box shows any signs of fogging up.

I did, they are sending a new panel but I get to keep the broken one.

update....I siliconed lexan over the panel and installed it.yesterday..

It is putting out about 3 amps in full sun (not perfectly straight to the
sun due to mounting location)

Still not bad....
