Sharp Viewcam Camcorder

I am trying to repair my Sharp Viewcam - an older model that has worked until now. When I open the camera to insert a tape the metal part that holds the tape will not eject up - it makes a strange clicking noise. I have been trying to remove the front door of this camera and can not figure out how to get it off without breaking something. Is there a trick to getting into this camera?
