Hope I am in the right spot for this one. I am wiring a 220V breaker panel for my cabin to the metered power pedestal on my property. I didn't realize at the time that I bought a four wire service cable but only have three terminals on my power pedestal. The cable has one large, two mid-size and one smaller wire. Power, neutral, ground. Cable is already buried so I can just swap it out. I know there is a way to safely hook this up but want to be sure.

GET YOURSELF AN ELECTRICIAN.
You can kill yourself or burn your house down if you are unfamiliar with this hook-up.
Some of us here know what you're asking about, but not a one of us is going to accidentally help you die.

Wow, a bit melodramatic, but its the reason I am asking. Well aware of the caution.

Tell it to the families of the five electricians I've worked with over the years as an electronic tech, who all knew what they were doing, and still died on the job.
The power off the pole is 3-phase 480VAC, you don't want to make a mistake.

The main power is already going into the metered pedestal, I am doing nothing with the actual power pole on the other side of the meter...there is no way in hell I would take that on.
