sensors for X-Y movement detection in a mouse

i'm looking the type of sensor for the detection of both x an y movement
in a mouse. Each of the mouse wheels have a sensor (just one) that is a
device with four pins. I supouse that each sensor is really a double
sensor and the pins are Vcc, GND and the output of the two sensors.

¿where can i find information about this type of sensor? ¿comercial
devices?

It's normally an encapsulated dual optointerrupter that gives
quadrature outputs as the slotted wheel turns.
