Seeking a SMC, identical unit has what looks like "888|", or "|888" on the chip.

I have 2 identical eCig mods, and the one that didn't fry a chip due to eLiquid leakage/seepage looks like 888|, or |888...

Looks like maybe the pipe symbol "|", before or after, but that might be a stamp-mark for the 888 and irrelevant, but cannot find a 6-pin 888 mosfet, or anything.

I am not sure if I could actually solder an SMC component, but I am again getting back into some electronics after some time away, and just built my first Joule Thief thanks to "BigClive" Mitchell's vids, some renewed interest, and a desire to not be w/out lighting like people in San Diego were for 10 days w/out a grid...
