Hello,

I am first year EE student at utwente.nl and looking for a replacement for my large angelog 20 mhz(which I can't use because of it size) and small 5 mhz.(which is just one channel)
I use it for all kind of project: sound, convertor, amp, uC, fpga, ...

I think a DSO is the best option, more bandwidth and less space.
I want something which is future prove. So I make my which list
- 1 Gsps or more
- BW 100 mhz but 200mhz is preferred
- 2 channel
- memory and wfps, no idea
- budget aim for 800 euro(1100 USD)
- good service/Brand

I have been look around and found that for 800 euro isn't enough and so I have to choose if i want lower spec or spent more money.

What is you advice.

Marc

Not suggesting that you should buy from here, but there are some decent devices available for around 300 euro.

Check out this and this.

Rigol is a known brand, and although it's only 50MHz, it is considered quite a reasonable performer. The 100MHz one is one I don't know anything about, but you may wish to research it...

If you can get away with 50MHz bandwidth, I'd go for the Rigol. These things are going to be like computers; newer, faster, and cheaper models coming out all the time (the price on the Rigol has fallen steadily). I wonder whether it is false economy to buy more than you will actually need.
