I don't have that one but Heatkit users might like to know that some other
circuits
were on www.circuitarchive.co.uk/heath.htm .
They have now been removed
but fortunately were archived at http://web.archive.org/ .

Have you contacted Heath? As recently as a few years ago, they still offered
photocopies of manuals for every kit they ever sold, even after they left
the kit business.

Yes I know. $16 is way too much. I only spent $2 for it about 10 years
ago and I have several Wavetek function generators anyhow. It's just a
challenge.

I know what you mean, but if it isn't on BAMA et al what are you going to
do? Set up an email search on eBay and cross your fingers?

No, just put it in the "to do" pile and hope that someday someone will
notice my request here and be a good guy.

Or, just dig into it without a schematic. It's probably a power supply
problem of some kind which should be possible to track down with a
multimeter. A schematic would just make it easier. I know there's
a tantalum cap that blew up and there's something funny about that
area of the circuit because it only measures ~1 V now without the cap.
It's just a pain to get to the bottom of the PCB, requiring removing the
knobs and front panel so was hoping to avoid it. Oh well.....

I've fixed so many things without a schematic that I get annoyed when I
can't do this (more and more these days with custom ICs). I've even gotten
things to work at times by sheer dumb luck!

I have a partial manual that's not very good. I don't know when or
where I got it, but it might help you.

I did have to replace a transistor but I don't know if that had anything to

I saw that no one had replied with a useful link so I posted in case
you still needed it. You spend a lot of time helping others here and I
like to do the same when I can. BTW, did you ever fix the equipment you
needed that six pin plug and shell I sold you?

Thanks. HeNeNe.... I did build the cable with it. Haven't gotten to
actually put the rest of it together though. It was for a high vacuum
ionization gauge and the vacuum part of it isn't all there. And maybe
I'm just goofing off.

Thanks. HeNeNe.... I did build the cable with it. Haven't gotten to
actually put the rest of it together though. It was for a high vacuum
ionization gauge and the vacuum part of it isn't all there. And maybe
I'm just goofing off.

Could be, its been over a year that I was off line. On the other
hand, you may have been to busy with everyone else to have time to play
with it.
