I have an electronics background so I am fine with schematics but on this website I have come across a descriptive language for describing schematics which I am not familiar with. For example the script below.

Can anyone provide an explanation of this language or a link to where I can learn it ?

.. High-voltage high-current regulator
.. Q1
.. ,- Rp -+----- D S ----------,
.. | | G |
.. | '- R5 -- | ---+-- R4 --+
.. | | | |
.. | | B Q2 |
.. | _______ +- C E --, Rs
.. | | | | | |
.. --+---| LR8 |---+-+-- R3 --+--+--+--- Vout
.. Vin |_______| | _|_
.. | | --- Cout
.. ,-- R1 --+-- R2 ---' |
.. | gnd
.. '--- pot --- gnd

I can't be sure, but it looks like it might have been a schematic drawn with characters.

It appears to be some sort of net list I think. Q1 is a MOSFET Rp is perhaps the on drain source resistance and the 'D' and 'S' are drain/source. The 2 vertical lines appear to mean 'in parallel with', whereas the '+' might mean 'in series with'. Multiple vertical lines might mean nested in parallel

Hopefully someone out there can explain ???

Many thanks
Sean
