Hi !
I've this nice alarm system, but now the battery is dry, and the alarm
displays service, fault and rings the siren. If I charge the battery and
install it once fully charged, the alarm runs fine 'till the battery
dries out.... When I check the voltages, I've the 21V AC from the mains
transformer, but the battery plug only get 9V.
I suspect the power supply has died.
Did someone have a schematics or a maintenance manual ?
Preferably by PDF or Jpeg formats ;-)
Many thanks in advance for any help !

Unfortunately due to the age of this system you are likely to have problems
fixing it. You are likely to find more wrong with it when you fix the
original fault. (common fault with tamper likely)
Your best bet would be to replace the main box with something like a
Scantronic 9448+. This unit is basically the new replacement for the 9454
and is completely compatible with all the other components you have
installed. The cost is minimal.
Good luck with your venture regardless of which avenue you choose to take.

It's not enough...
The power supply give only 8~9 V to the battery outlett, and once
charged, the alarm runs more than 24 hours on the batery.
I suspect the regulator is at fault.
Will change it and let you know.
The battery of the extrernal siren is dead. it has only 2 V after
charging.... It must be dead ;-)

get a new battery
Hello !
It's me again....
So I've replaced the LM317T which was at fault.... Guessed right.
When I've re plugger all wires, and put power : Sirens sounds.
I've 14.5 V on the battery output. Perfect !
So when I plug the battery, close the box, enter the user code to clear
all, everything comes right. A detector test shows everithing's fine.
I've postponed the siren test 'cause it's a little bit late....
Tomorrow, I'll buy a new battery for the 9454 and a new one for the
external siren, and everithing's fine !
Thanks for your help !
P.S. Do you know how to clear the NVRAM storing intrusions or defects ?
