Sansui 5000A Output Transistors

Were the original output transistors in this receiver 2SD118? The receiver I
am working on has a mixture of two 2SD118, one NTE118 and one NTE284. (all
NPN)

Whoops! Yes you are right. NTE181. Thanks for the help.

 

Yes, the 2SD118 transistors are the correct originals. Fair warning though
that these things were a common failure if you didn't replace the driver
board as well. If your driver board doesn't say F-6013, then you have the
older type which was unstable.
