Hello,
does anyone know something about the bimetallic switch below:

ELTH
Type 261

16(3)250
T 130 K

As I googled around ELTH is the manufacturer, but their website is
lazy.
It sounds like 130 °C because 130K as switching temperature is too low
for the application. It is a savety device in my dishwasher
(Electrolux ECD 22) and Electrolux isn't able (wanting?) to help me.
Does anyone know more about this device?

regards

Martin,

That ELTH website is incomplete and doesn't work at all. I suspect
that your thermal switch might be the same as is commonly used on
microwave ovens and other appliances. In view of the fact that you
haven't physically described the switch I will guess that it looks
like this http://www.wagner.net.au/Catalogue/10_13.pdf

Admittedly, this is an Australian supplier but you should be able to
locate something in your area. Cost here is around AUD5.25 ea (EU3.00)

Right, it looks like this. Indeed I found a few manufacturers. But no
one can Tell me what temperature range this original device is. I
spoke a technican of mircotherm (they are just 30 km away from me;-)
He told me, that the number on the Device doesn't need to say
something about the Temperature may be , may be not.

I feel confident that the 130 on the part refers to the temperature.
After all, a dishwasher uses water which boils at 100 C so it seems
logical that the cutout temperature would be somewhere above this
temp. I am guessing that the cutout operates if the heating element is
on when water is not covering it.
