Run Q99 on USB thumb drive?

Does anyone know if Quicken 99 could be run on a USB
thumb drive?

You mean can it be installed on a thumb drive and run on any computer
without installation, or can it store it's data on a thumb drive?

Probably no to the first and yes to the second, though you'll find
that thumb drives are a lot slower than normal hard drives (from 25%
to as slow as 1% of the speed of a hard drive, depending), and may
wear out prematurely if used for lots of random access and updates.

IMHO they are fine for hauling files around and transferring them from
machine to machine, but not for running programs on...

[Eh, it's OT, Happy Holidays anyway. 8*]

Depends on what you mean by run. Quicken has dll files that install
in windows, so it isn't all that portable.
