RTL8201 interface

Hi,

Anyone has experience to interface RTL8201 with MCU? I have seen the
application circuit in Realtek web site. However, it is not so clear or
I am not so clever to understand.

I ask this because I got one RTL8201 today and I want to use it to
replace the old RTL8019as in my old product design as the chip size is
smaller.

Thanks!

This is a PHY (physical layer interface) chip, not an Ethernet
controller. It can only be used with an MCU that has the Ethernet MAC
(logic) portion but requires an external PHY interface.

For alternative chips with ISA interfaces, see here: http://www.edtp.com
