RSSI for distance calculation between Zigbee using PIC16F887

    I like create a mini project for myself, that is find the distance between the two zigbees using RSSI. I'm choosing PIC16F887 controller. can anyone help me how to get rssi value and how to convert it as distance...

    Firstly, I don't know how to get the RSSI from the Zigbee.

    However, be aware that whilst this system works perfectly if you have a pair of isotropic antennas and are in infinite free space, the performance rapidly degrades as these conditions are violated.

    In fact, if you simply google "rssi zigbee", the first hit will be a paper describing exactly how poor this technique works in practice.
