Hello all

I would like to add a serial output that could be either RS232 or RS485 to a
board. That is i would like to be able to have to choose between either of
these two modes by means of jumpers or other.

Any ideas of how this can be done?, any suggestions for a chip that i could
use for the job?.

Thanks

Eduardo

Lowest cost solution I found is to socket the driver chips and plug in
the desired one. It uses a lot of PCB area.
