RF noise & remote controled devices

  1. I don't have a feeling for this, but I suspect it happens...

I have a remote controled bed that will raise the head & foot of the bed
when I press the "raise head" or "raise foot" button on my remote control.
On rare occasions the head of the bed will act as if I had pressed the
"raise head" button. I suspect that it is a result of random RF noise.
does anyone here have evidence/stories/experience that supports this idea?

I also have a wireless VTech phone that rang today as if someone were trying
to call it up via it intercom function. It uses digital spread spectrum
technology, so the odds of random noise causing this seems pretty unlikely.
    But I don't know.
