Rewiring a night light...

Hi there,

.. i purchases a globe brand battery powered motion sensor LED night light in hopes of switching the white LEDs to yellow ones and moving them further away for an art project..

.. everything was removed and added with ease but now the circuit doesn't shut off and wait for motion.. it just blinks and turns back on.. the greater my Voltage from the battery the longer it stay off before turning back on...

.. any suggestions as to what could be the problem or how to fix it ?.. thank you...

Are the LED's you put back the same wattage as the white ones you removed?
