Hi
I have a query regarding resistor dynamics. I am cloning an open source circuit (OpenBCI Cyton board) but for some reason mouser decided to not ship 14 resistors of single model.
The original component's mfg no is MCS04020C1001FE000. It is a thin film SMD has a 1/16 Watt and 50 Volt rating with 0402 packaging.
1. Can it be replaced by a 1/4 Watt 200 volt resistor? Do Voltage and wattage play an important role in determining the behavior of resistor in circuit?
2. If I use 0805 or 1206 packaging then can the resistor short circuit (touch different paths) or cause issues?
Thanks in advance!!
