I need input here....

If I install a permanent type home standby generator, how do I deal with the
following:

I have 6 existing branch circuits that I want to serve from the emergency
panel furnished with the transfer switch.

What code issues arise in extending the circuits to the emergency panel from
the normal panel where they are now terminated?

Specifically, can I simply splice in the normal panel and extend the
circuits thru a conduit to the emergency panel?

If the answer is no, what methods would the code accept?

Some local utility companies will provide you with electrical diagrams on
how to connect a standby generator.
I suggest that you contact them first.
