i am trying to replace the battery in my tablet. It won't turn on at all, and dowsn't seem to hold a charge.

I found some information ont he battery here:

I won't bore you with what mine is doing, but in short, I think it is the battery, the company is useless, I got it apart and the battery was soft and squishy. I don't know if this is normal, or a sign it has gone bad., I do not know much about electronics, hardware etc. (I am a software engineer, and I can learn what I need to to fix this) but I used a soldering iron when I was a kid a few times :)

The model number was partially destroyed when trying to free the battery from the glue that held it in. I can't search for the exat number. The first couple of numbers seem to pull up a few dell batteries in search engine results, but they don't look the same. Do you know how I could replace this battery? Here are pics of the battery.

The Nabi 2 uses a 3,850 mAh Rechargeable Lithium-ion Battery. I repair computers, laptops, cell phones and tablets for my living. With my resources was unable to find a OEM replacement. I would look for a battery of similar or smaller size with the same rating for a replacement. And yes the battery pack is soft and squishy, lol.

a friend of mine with stronger search foo pulled this up

I don't know how but this person found it on ebay. I am gonna give it a try.

It would be nice to find a longer lasting battery, and even a bigger one would fit in there. I am having trouble locating one. I have ordered an ebay one for now.
