I have a circuit that acquires audio via a PC mount electret mic. It
is not sensitive enough, so I want to feed in line audio directly.

As I recall, this requires a coupling cap, in addition to removing the
mic, but I cannot remember where in circuit, or the recommended value.

And I assume an adjustable voltage divider might be a good idea.

    Could someone kindly assist?

This is not logical. The mic level is 10s of uvolts, the line level is 10s of
mv.... several hundred times hotter... like 40 or 50 db LESS sensitive than the
mic input.... Some pc mic mixers have a 20db gain button in the advanced
    button... look for that....
