repairing Heathkit rain sensor (Reed switch)

  1. I've damaged the reed switch inside a heathkit rain sensor.

    This switch is aproximatly 2 inches long and maybe 1/8 to 3/16" across.

    Obviously it might be easier to replace the whole assembly with somthing else
    but sure would be nice to get this running again.

    Any thoughts?

    Haven't tried lately, but I have bought many replacement parts from Heathkit
    over the years. Have you tried them on the web?
