Hi,

I decided to have another look at this unit which would
startup for about a second and then shut down. Note: I had
already replaced C604 & C626, both 33uf 10V which had
low cap., but that did not fix the problem. I thought I tested
the LV regulators 6V and 5V on the power pcb. I decided to
test them again. IC603 KIA7805PI (NTE1960) 5V regulator
had no output! I replaced IC603 after I checked for a possible
heavy load on the 5V source. The set now stays on.

Before you type your password, credit card number, etc.,
be sure there is no active key logger (spyware) in your PC.
