Renaming an OrCAD design

I am making a new version os an existing product, which has to get a new
name.
Whatever I try in OrCAD, copying and renaming a design or saving the
existing design with a new name in a new directory, the old original name
stays embedded in the DSN file. The same problem occurs with the original
MAX file. Even when I save the MAX file as a TPL ot TCH file with a new name
in the new projects' directory, I cannot get rod of the old embedded design
name. And why would I want this? Whenever I do a backannotation, the old
name shows up in the SWP file and when I do not pay attention, the original
design get the backannotation, effectively destroyng it.

So is there a good way of 'instantiating' a new design from an existing
design, without any references to the old design?

The best thing I found is to open a new
project, copy schematic pages from old
project to new project, and go from there.

I tried that. Funny enough, the new schematic still has pathnames from the
old design in its' database. But I narrowed the problem down to OrCAD
Layout. That is the program that stuffs the old desing name into the
backannotation file. I also found a workaround: copy the schematic with copy
and paste. Create a new netlist, create a new design in Layout. This will
create a blank board with all components in place. Then merge the original
board et voila: the same design but with new filenames and no references to
the old one during a backannotate. They are still there if you look into the
DSN and MAX files, but the do not show up in any annotation/backannotation
process.
