I am desiging a circuit in my school as part of a
larger project on sleep apnea.I need to design a driver circuit using a
darlington transistor(for higher gain) that would drive a dust buster(used as
suction pump in experiment). This circuit is to be interfaced with computer and
controlled with a LABVIEW software. So,I request you to help me in how to go
about with the circuit. It would be great if you can suggest me a circuit .
Thanking you for your help.
kiran.

Try ULN2003 and 2004. You can parallel the outputs to have more drive power.

I'm not sure why you'd use a darlington. Assuming the dust buster is
powered by 120V (or 240V) AC, it'll be easiest and safest to control it with
a relay, perhaps a solid-state relay. A darlington will not pass AC, only
DC. If you use a relay, you'll only need a few mA to perhaps 100mA to
control it, and you don't need a darlington's gain for that - assuming your
drive circuit can supply 5mA, you'll be fine with a single transistor. And
if the dust buster is powered by DC, a MOSFET is probably easier than a
darlington configuration, these days.

Can you give us more detail about exactly what kind of current and voltage
you're trying to control, and what your control signal is able to provide?
What you've given us so far is a partly-specified solution with not much
detail about the problem. Who says you have to use a darlington? Is it a
requirement for the class, or is it just your design conclusion?
